Friday, October 21 continuation...here is the beautiful fall morning!
I'm just going to post some photos from yesterday with little commentary:

Arriving to the center of Pisa getting ready to cross the Arno.

We aren't in Nebraska! Palm trees along the city streets.

Entry way of Botanical Gardens which was closed though Sarah & Phoebe later did walk in on our way back to the car as the rope barricade was down. When they came back to gate, the rope was back up so some ducking under was necessary!!

Leaving Pisa to head to the sea

Yes, I am free standing out on a rock - shaking in my sandals! Sarah was instructed to take the photo NOW!

Looking up the Arno where it flows into the Gulf of Genoa

Fishing 'hut' with extensive netting system. There 4-5 of them on the levee

Sailboat going out to sea

Typical Tuscany roadside view

We have learned that our exit is after a long tunnel!

Yes, the building is really that close to the road! This is on SP222 which is our main road getting to & from or rather going north or south.

And now I'm taking a break before starting on today's blog!!
